One of our favorite holiday traditions comes back to the stage this month—Theatre Out presents its sixth annual festive production of Last Christmas I Gave You My Heart But the Very Next Day You Said You Were Gay. Directed by Theatre Out co-founder David Carnevale, this delightfully kitschy romp follows three gay elves who randomly show up in Nebraska to bestow some much-needed holiday cheer, along with Santa, who has a very special, um, “package” to deliver. You won't find another gay Christmas pageant quite like this one—complete with comical twists on classic carols and some slightly offensive yuletide humor—so get those bells jingling and head over to Theatre Out to start the season in style.
Fridays, Saturdays, 8 p.m. Starts: Nov. 30. Continues through Dec. 15, 2012
