If the soul craves nourishment from literature, Richard Bausch is here to tell us why. The author of nearly a dozen novels and eight collections of stories, Bausch is the featured guest at this installment of Lectio Magistralis, an intellectual evening of talks and lectures presented to an educated public. His works, which have appeared in numerous publications and made into film, have also secured him such awards as two National Magazine Awards, a Guggenheim Fellowship, the Award of the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and the Dayton Literary Peace Prize. So why can literature save us? If anyone knows, it's him.
