There’s no better marijuana strain for zooming through to-do lists than Lemon Crack. Born from the union of Lemon Haze and Green Crack, the sativa-heavy strand is known to make people feel like they just imbibed a gallon of espresso, and it went right to the veins. Despite an initial spike in energy that can be a bit intense, this specific herbal variant is also popular for reducing stress, while treating fatigue and increasing mental clarity and focus.
Before enjoying the stoner fun at 420 Games over the weekend, I had to hack through a scroll-sized list of errands and chores to finish. Unsure of whether trying the Lemon Crack would derail me altogether, I was a bit hesitant to smoke at all. But I was thrilled that I did after the first puff, because Lemon Crack got me in the zone. I went to the post office, the grocery store, cleaned my room (the most Herculean task on the list), wrote two thank-you notes, threw a load of laundry in the washing machine, and even cleaned my bathroom (imagine the Augean stables, but worse). I was thrilled by my efficiency and thought it’d be the best medicine for the 420 Games, so I lit up some more.
Once I got there (driven by a pal, of course), I realized that I was talking to strangers more so than usual, especially for being stoned. Feelings of euphoria and optimism flooded my being. Once I got to the Santa Monica Pier, I gravitated to the Lagunitas Beer booth, as if it was something I had no control over. The combination of Lemon Crack and three beers made everyone feel like my best friend. My inner social butterfly was on fire—I couldn’t stop talking.
At one point I thought I wasn’t stoned anymore, but when I realized that I was trying to talk to my new friends (total strangers) about the terpene profiles, or the pungent oils that give cannabis varieties distinctive flavors like citrus, berry, mint and pine, I realized that my filter was gone. It was then that I finally understood the odd glares I kept receiving from people. A guy named Kevin finally said that Lemon Crack’s parents are great highs for working out and connecting with the body. “I’d bet many of the runners this morning smoked either Lemon Haze, Green Crack or their baby: Lemon Crack before they came,” said Kevin, with glazed-over eyes. . It enhances the runners high a lot,”
If you’re going out, trying to accomplish chores around the house or looking for something to enhance your runner’s high, Green Crack from the Joint in Santa Ana is the perfect greenery for the occasion. Enjoy!
