Nothing like scooping up a little confidential info to spice up the weekend–especially for music and comedy lovers who need something BIG to look forward to in early November (aside from those midterm elections of course). Today we came across unreleased info for an OC event called Big Adventure– a comedy fest a la Festival Supreme that combines music and comedy with the added bonus of live podcasts, video games, cosplay, comic books, unicorns, space kittens, Transformers…okay the last three were just images on the flier. But still–given the magnitude of this lineup, anything’s possible.
Headliners for the two day event on Nov 3 and 4 at the OC Fairgrounds include musical guests Empire of the Sun, Modest Mouse (!), and Cold War Kids, and more. On the laughter side of the bill, what better representatives for all of this craziness than Patton Oswalt and Jim Jeffries? They’ll be bringing their unique brands of observational humor and absurdity along with a grab bag of comedians like Natasha Leggero, Mia Bamford and Emo Philips.
And of course the third element of bobbing your head and laughing your ass off is the ability to dance like no one’s watching. That won’t be hard when you feel your limbs possessed by the sounds of the dance stage, featuring Bonnie X Clyde, Bro Safari, Chime, Ducky, Rusko and a full roster of DJs.
C’mon, at this point how could you not be sold? And considering how early we snagged this you have plenty of advanced warning. More news on this brand new festival as it develops…
