Its the end of summertime, bra. Time to shred some final gnarly waves and hang ten on the boneyard like a boss. But first, one must educate oneself on the sport so as not to look like a total poser while attempting to rip. Lucky for you, the San Onofre Foundation (SOF) in partnership with California Skate Parks and the National Environmental Education Foundation are hosting “Local Surf Science: The Surf Mechanics of San Onofre N Trestles” as part of their summer lecture series. Learn from Surfline’s Kevon Wallis, who lends his techniques to some of the world’s best big wave surfers like Kohl Christensen, Shane Dorian and Kelly Slater. The talk aims to provide education, protection and preservation for the California State Parks at San Onofre and San Clemente State Beaches while educating the audience on the righteousness of broceanography.
