We can't believe it's been nearly 10 years since this San Angelo-based, Willie Nelson-approved chicano rock band burst onto the scene with their first single “Heaven.” That song went to No. 1 on the Adult Contemporary charts and was a statement of intent by the Garza brothers. Since then, the band has released five additional studio albums—the latest, Revelation, hit stores just a few weeks ago. While they may not have maintained the attention of the mainstream public since “Heaven,” the brothers have managed to keep a core audience with attention directed toward their acclaimed live shows. And with Henry Garza suffering near-fatal injuries after falling off a stage last year, the tightly knit outfit has a fresh outlook as both a band and as a family, knowing everything could be gone in an instant.
