Male “Cop” Gets Rocks Off With 17-Year-Old Boy

A 17-year-old boy who had pulled his car over early Monday in Cypress to use his cell phone says he was sexually assaulted by a man who claimed to be an off-duty police officer.

The unidentified lad arrived at the Cypress police station around 1:30 a.m. Monday to say he'd been driving south on Valley View from Orange into Cypress when he needed to use
his cell phone. To keep from violating the state cell phone law, he pulled off onto a side street. That's where he was contacted by the
man who identified himself as an off-duty cop.

The supposed policeman took the teen's cell phone and driver's license and told the boy to pull into the parking lot of Dalton's Restaurant, 9575 Valley View, which is across the street from where the youth had originally pulled over. The boy did as told, with the man claiming to be an officer following close behind in his own civilian vehicle.

While in the restaurant parking lot, the teen said, the “cop” conducted a pat-down search several times. At this point, the kid realized it was more than a pat-down and the dude getting his jollies was not a cop. The man eventually returned the phone and license to the very frightened young driver, who was then allowed to leave. The boy was not hurt physically.

His attacker was described as white, about 40, 5 feet 11, 160 lbs., clean shaven with short gray/brown hair, brown eyes and wearing a black jacket with front pockets. He was driving a 2002-2003 red/burgundy full-size extra cab pick-up truck (possibly a Dodge) with a black soft bed cover and a 2-foot to 4-foot large antenna sticking up from the left rear window protruding from the bed cover.

Cypress Police say the fake copper faces charges of molesting a child under 18 years old, false impersonation of a police officer, kidnapping and sexual battery. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cypress Police Department Detective Bureau at (714) 229-6631.
