Market 2 Plate, a new restaurant specializing in made-to-order pastas, will have its grand opening inside Tustin’s Union Market at The District on Saturday, January 23.
There will be free samples from noon to 8 p.m, live music starting at 6 p.m., and a ribbon cutting ceremony at 6:30 p.m.

Pasta plates at Market 2 Plate are customizable. You choose from a list of 8 kinds, including gnocchi, rotelli, and pappardelle. Then you pick one of 7 sauces, such as pomodoro or Alfredo. A plate starts off at $6.95, more if you add protein such as chicken or salmon.
For the low- or no-carb dieters, the restaurant offers five signature salads for $6.95 each, or you could build your own for $7.95.
