Maroon 5 may sound like an unnecessary sequel to a film about color wheels, but they’re actually an immensely popular pop-rock band. You’ve heard lead singer Adam Levine’s smooth, soulful vocals on the band’s early hits “This Love” and “Sunday Morning” everywhere from Star 98.7 to your local supermarket’s condiment aisle. The quintet has won three Grammys (say what you will about the Grammys, they at least know their pop) including Best New Artist and Best Pop Performance. Their two albums—It Won’t Be Soon Before Long and Songs About Jane —have gone triple platinum and elevated the boys to superstar status. And now they’re coming to Orange County to steal the hearts of fans too sophisticated for Justin Timberlake.
