McDonald's has been getting slammed by the media lately for insisting that some of their stores remain open on Christmas Day. This next story isn't going to change recent headlines that have condemned them as Scrooges.
In England, McDonald's has just settled a lawsuit filed by an employee who sued them claiming that she was wrongfully terminated for putting too many sprinkles on a McFlurry.
A fellow employee purchased it and when Sarah Finch, 19, put a generous sprinkling of chocolate pieces on the dessert, she was fired for gross misconduct, accused of stealing food.

Finch sued them for unfair dismissal, arguing that “There is no standard for such measures — they are always imprecise and will vary among customers. My colleague had asked me: 'Make it a nice one'. So the measure I gave erred on the side of more than, rather than less than, the mean.”
The Golden Arches is reported to have paid Finch a settlement of more than £3,000. It is not known whether they muttered “Bah humbug” while doing so.
