Meiji Seimen, New Noodle Shop, Opens in Costa Mesa

Costa Mesa is OC's ramen country. We know this for a fact. But ramen isn't the only noodle game in town. There's also soba and udon, to name just a few other slurpable options. But so far, if I recall correctly, there's only one notable from-scratch udon maker in town: Sanukiseimen at the Mitsuwa Marketplace.

Their monopoly has ended. A new udon restaurant called Meiji Seimen has opened in Costa Mesa. The community board Talk Irvine actually broke the opening more than a month ago, but I only saw it recently driving by. Meiji serves not only udons they reportedly make in-house (a few with a precisely oooked egg that turns into sauce), but also katsudon, which are rice bowls with a fried pork cutlet.
The address is:

1113 Baker St #E, Costa Mesa, CA 92626, 714-545-5175
