2010's Tony Award winner for Best Musical makes its debut at the Segerstrom Center this month and brings with it all the rhythm and fever of a 1950's underground dance club. Watch as the young white radio DJ Huey falls in love with a new sound coming out of the South as well as a beautiful black singer named Felicia. She hopes to become a famous songstress; he wants to use the airwaves to change the world. Loosely based on the true story of Dewey Phillips, one of the first white DJs to play black music, Memphis took Broadway by storm and now comes to Orange County. Don't miss this electric, passionate performance, here for a limited run.
Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: Nov. 6. Continues through Nov. 18, 2012
