Wine bottles in a controlled environment? Functional and classy.
Wine bottles anywhere else? Clunky, heavy and kind of a hazard.
Three former UC Irvine MBA students–Matt Zimmer, Jodi Wynn and Doug Allan–have come up with a pretty neat solution: stackable plastic wine glasses, perfect for lugging to picnics and outdoor concerts. No bottles, no stemware, no corkscrews (which are always forgotten at home, anyway).

They've turned their idea into Newport Beach-based Stacked Wines.
Each sleek package, which retails for about $15, comes with four
foil-sealed glasses of wine, together equaling one wine bottle. For now,
there are two varieties: chardonnay and merlot.
Stacked Wines are sold in markets across Orange County, including Bruery Provisions in Orange.
