Animée, to be released in the UK this fall, will come in three varieties: “clear filtered,” “crisp rosé” and “zesty lemon.” Naturally, the stuff is pink. You know, to match our purses and poodles.
The company hopes this 4% alcohol-by-volume, lightly sparkling beer will tickle a demographic it has yet to tap into. A survey showed that 79 percent of women in the UK avoid drinking beer due to such fears as bloating and weight gain, and because it's traditionally a masculine beverage.

As for the overtly feminine packaging, we gotta say, it could look worse. Thankfully, there are no disco balls or girlie silhouettes in corvettes. (Still, if they get Sarah Jessica Parker to be their spokeswoman, shoot us.) As for the taste, we have no idea, though we can only predict it'd be reminiscent of Arbor Mist. Or perhaps it'll taste just like regular Coors, but “zestier.”
Cheers. Pinkies up!
