There’s a part in the trailer for Rock & Roll High School where famed radio DJ the Real Don Steele asks the question that must be asked, shortly after the Ramones and Riff Randell blow Vince Lombardi High to pieces: “Could your school be next?” And lo, from about every kid ever came the reply: “Fuck, if only.” Roger Corman’s punksploitation effort Rock & Roll High School deserves to be institutionalized (in a museum and asylum both) and is as stone as a classic gets. But if you don’t know, let’s recap—what’s the plot of this again? The Ramones rule, school sucks and Clint Howard is hilarious? Sounds about right. Feed your homework to a dog and go see this.
