“Men do not quit playing because they grow old; they grow old because they quit playing.” Mötley Crüe held out longer than anyone expected—but the time has come: the wild men take one last trip around the country on their final tour. This Tuesday night, Vince Neil, Mick Mars, Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee, each completely infamous and legendary on their own right, bring their no-boundaries concert to the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre. Most of us had long ago surmised we'd only hear “Girls, Girls, Girls” and “Smokin' in the Boys Room” live from cover bands any more—but the Crüe graces us with one last chance to hear some of the greatest '80s butt rock ever written live and at full volume. Dry those mascara-streaked tears—as the band says, “All bad things must come to an end.”
