Craving a taste of the macabre this evening? Head over to the Fairhaven Memorial Park and Cemetery for an open-air screening of a film about four boys searching for the dead body of a missing kid. The seminal coming-of-age story about life, death,and a pie-eating contests gone horrible wrong, Stand By Me was originally adapted from a Steven King story called The Body (and, as King said, was the first film to be truly translated from his writing), and perfectly walks the line between touching and twisted.
