When Ace Enders plays Chain Reaction in Anaheim on July 10, the former lead singer and guitarist of the Early November won't just be playing songs from his latest solo album, When I Hit the Ground. He'll also, apparently, be leading a pre-show BBQ for fans that buy presale tickets. In fact, the entire tour is called the “BBQ Across America Tour.” He's playing the Knitting Factory the day before, but according to a Vagrant Records press release, “the logistics of BBQing at Knitting Factory aren't feasible.” Take that, LA! OC BBQs rule!
Our guy Doug Wallen reviewed When I Hit the Ground for us back in April, and he didn't seem to like it very much, but keep in mind that he was only reviewing Enders as a musician, with no regard for his BBQing prowess.
