So yeah I know you were looking forward to ending your Friday on a happy note and all, so maybe a club night called “Long Live Death” might be a bit of a downer. If so, feel free, to skip this post. I won't hold it against you. But for diehard fans of monthly music clubs like Release the Bats, a chance at discovering something slightly more “esoteric” is in store. LLD is a club night pointed towards all things haunting and experimental in world of industrial, techo, post punk, et. al.
Ironically, Long Live Death is hosting it's last event of the year tonight at Que Sera, it's regular morbid nesting place in Long Beach. Guess death didn't live so long after all (cue . But they are going out on with a glorious blood curdling scream. The line up includes music from Night at Noon, Ure Thrall, Hop Frog's Drum Jester Devotional (catchy name) and DJ Merrick all of which have a strong urge to make music that creeps up and scares the shit out of you (me). Check out more details on the event HERE. Be sure to show up early, we hear the bar is supposed to get pretty crowded for this one. I guess death is a great party starter. Happy Friday.
