Best music prank of the day goes to Nine Inch Nails (thus the fetching pic of Trent up there), who posted this hilarious link today on their official Web site, about a new album produced by Timbaland. Take that, Chris Cornell! The attention to detail is to superb, given the repetitive (but undeniably catchy) beat playing in the background, and the enticingly fake track list. “Still Hurts.” Teehee. But “laid, paid and played (featuring fergie of the black eyed peas and al jourgensen)” is probably the best. That actually sounds awesome. I hope Reznor actually posed for a pic wearing those shutter shades, but it was probably just a Photoshop job.
Of course, there are plenty of bad ones, too, like this “funny” press release that came in the electronic mail from “7-10 Music”:
