There's still more than a month before Wilco's seventh studio album, bearing the cleverly minimalist title of Wilco (The Album), is “properly” released. That date's June 30.
But you can listen to the latest from the Chicago band right now on their official Web site, in an attempt to curtail those cursed pirates (not Somali one, music ones). I'm listening to it for the first time now, and I like how you can't skip around tracks, it just streams the whole thing start to finish. The one (?) downside to the iTunes age is people's tendency to only listen to a couple of songs on an album and not listen to a record straight-through. So good for you, Tweedy and co.
Wilco are coming to Pomona, specifically the newly reopened Fox Theater, on June 20. Tickets are like, way beyond sold out.
