No Doubt Triumphantly Return (to New Jersey)

Arguably (?) the most famous band in Orange County history, No Doubt, played their first official show in about five years last night at the Meadowlands in East Rutherford, New Jersey, headlining the second day of the Bamboozle Music Fest out there (not to be confused with the Bamboozle Left that took place in Irvine a month ago, natch).

Sure, the band joined Gwen Stefani during the encore of one of her solo shows in Irvine a couple years ago, but this was the first big push of their massive reunion tour–which will see them hit just about every city that exists before wrapping things up with four shows at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, and three at the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City. (Tickets are, amazingly, still available for some of the OC shows, check Live Nation; the dates are July 31, August 1, August 2 and August 4.)

YouTube is flush with videos from last night's hullabaloo, like this one of their encore cover of Adam and the Ants' “Stand and Deliver,” surprisingly well-shot by a helpful young man or woman dubbed “livsternikster.”

Oh, and in perhaps the most exciting news of all, they're going to be on Gossip Girl a week from today, doing that same song. OMFG, indeed.
