Pretty much every city in Orange County has a giant shopping center (some have multiple ones!), so we might as well make good use out of them, right? Case in point, the District Unplugged event that we told you about earlier in the week…it's going on right now at the sprawling District at Tustin Legacy.

Until 6 p.m., a truckload of local and regional artist will be playing
acoustic-style throughout the District Promenade area (there's a stage
right outside Borders). Headliners are Iglu N Hartly (yes,
acoustic. weird, right?), Matt Vasquez of Delta Spirit (coming off his
show at Detroit Bar last night), Limbeck, Moostache, PawnShop Kings,
Melanoid, the White Buffalo, Marc B, Michael Rosas and Cory Case–a
pretty impressive bill for being downstairs from a Discount Shoe
Warehouse.
The show is free, of course, but a portion of the proceeds (uh…donations? things sold during the show?) will benefit the Surfrider Foundation.
eVocal will be in the house as well, with their artists screenprintin',
paintin' and generally providing more culture than an area so close to
a Hot Topic may be used to. Plus, if you get bored, you can duck into
Borders and flip through magazines! It's win-win.
