Sometimes you have to wonder what it takes for great musicians and bands to shuffle aside time in their schedules to weld together a “super group”. Although in the case of The Dead Weather, whose members are amongst the busiest musicians in the indie rock game, making time for more music is just second nature. Their roster might as well be a recipe for stripped down, sonic excellence: Jacks White on drums (The White Stripes, The Raconteurs), Alison Mosshart on vocals/guitar (The Kills), Jack Lawrence on bass/drums (The Raconteurs), and Dean Fertita on guitar/organ (Queens of the Stone Age).
Tomorrow TDW releases their debut album, Horehound, independently recorded at White's Third Man Studios. Fingerprints in Long Beach is treating fans to a listening party of the new album along with some free food, free prizes and lithographs for anyone who buys a copy of a CD or LP. How nice of them.
