Remember about a week ago when we mentioned that Costa Mesa's The New Limb are bringing some shimmering indie rock tunes to the Gypsy Lounge through Dec. 17? Yes? Awesome. Hopefully that means you didn't miss last week's opening night of their free residency.
But in case you did, we highly encourage you to show up to the next couple shows (they play Thursday nights for the next two weeks) as the band kicks off a holiday toy drive for the remainder of their stay at the Lake Forest venue.
On Dec. 10 and 17, the band will be collecting toys that will be given to Orangewood Children's Foundation. On Dec. 22, the band will drop off the toys and play the children a special holiday acoustic set. If your heart didn't just melt after those last two sentences, you should probably get someone to check your pulse to make sure you still have one.

Do yourself (and your soul) some good and show up at their gig tonight with a new toy and help spread some holiday cheer, seriously. Tomorrow night, the band is joined by The Relative Strangers, Kiev and Parker Macy.
