Four-and-a-half years ago, LA's neo-shoegaze trio Autolux released Future Perfect, regarded by most as uniformly excellent. Among other glowing reviews, it received an 8.3 from Pitchfork (best new music!). They've been pretty quiet since then, though, other than the single “Audience No. 2,” which came out last year (a.k.a. forever ago!). Lest you think there's some one-and-done J.D. Salinger-types (sorry, Franny and Zooey fans), they are working on a new record, Transit Transit, which will be out…sometime.
You can probably hear some of that sweet, sweet new stuff tonight at Detroit Bar, where Autolux will be playing along with openers Mini Mansion and the Pity Party. $15, show starts at 9 p.m., with Autolux going on at 11.
