We told you earlier in the week about the Horrors coming to the Glass House, but, that's not all you've got to look forward to with the Pomona venue. It's the concert hall that keeps giving!

Back in April, we were pretty sure that Friendly Fires were going to play Detroit Bar. So sure, in fact, that we ran this article in the print OC Weekly about their scheduled show. Well, that didn't happen,
but they are coming to our area on August 23, with $12-$14 tickets
going on sale this coming Tuesday at noon. I need to check on this, but
there seems to be a good chance that there's also going to be a Detroit
Bar show–a make-up for the scrapped April gig–around this time, too.
UPDATE: Nope, according to Detroit Bar co-owner Jon Reiser, the only date Friendly Fires had available was already booked, so the UK band won't be playing Costa Mesa this time around.
Long-running German industrialists KMFDM are also coming to the Glass House, on the heels of their 16th (!) studio album, Blitz, which came out back in March. That show's on October 17, on-sale today at noon for $23 ($25 at the door).
Also happening in downtown P-town: the enduringly mischevious Ween, playing the lovely Fox Theater
on September 1. That's 30 bones. A presale starts today at 10 a.m. (and
lasts until 10 p.m., funny how that works), with a password of
“CHOCODOG.” Yep. General on-sale is tomrorow at noon.
