In addition to the annual Nightmare Before Christmas-ization of the Haunted Mansion, there will also be a brand new seasonal fireworks show–something Disney always, always totally rules at–titled “Halloween Screams–A Villainous Surprise in the Skies,” hosted by your er, Master of Scare-monies jack Skellington. Expect cameos from Maleficent, Ursula and Oogie Boogie. There's also something that requires a little bit of audience participation: A “Scream-Along.”
But the most promising thing we here at the Weekly will be first in line next week to check out? A very special Halloween edition of Space Mountain!
After the jump: Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy details and more photos from Halloween Time.

Aimed at the older kidlets and the adults, Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy will feature a “haunted section of the universe.” Ghosts will appear out of the darkness and the new ride soundtrack will be accompanied by “piercing screams, creepy sound effects and haunting music.” The exterior of Space Mountain will also be lit up with Halloween-themed images, audio and sound.
Also: Mickey's Trick-or-Treat Party will be back at California Adventure in October (2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, 30 and 31). Basically, just show up in your costume (adults welcomed!) and trick-or-treat at 25 different stops throughout the park. Look out for character photo locations, arts and crafts areas, games areas and even a “Hollywood Bat-Lot Bash.” Tickets have to be purchased in advance, ranging from $32-$42.
