Not even a week has passed in the OCTA bus drivers' strike, and already strike leaders have lessened their demands. You can attribute it to the outrage felt by the OCTA's majority-Latino-and-poor (and usually poor Latino) riderships, who don't give a shit about worker solidarity, but we all know what the real culprit is: OC's anti-union soul. Read my piece last year on the Citrus War of 1936, consider that the Weekly meets with a new SEIU wide-eyed representative every year who thinks they have a chance, and decide for yourself!
