What You Missed: Dia de los Muertos, Matt Costa, Sutra Lounge, Mum

So what'd you do this weekend? Or, more importantly, what'd you not do? On Saturday, we headed down to Downtown Santa Ana to help celebrate the dead.

Día de Los Muertos, or the Day of the Dead, is a Mexican holiday where people commemorate and remember their family members and friends who have passed away. On 11/7, Día de Los Muertos festivities took place in Downtown Santa Ana. Check out the colorful photos by David Pond right here.

After the jump: HB kid Matt Costa at Detroit Bar, Friday night shenanigans at Sutra and Icelandic band Mum at the Yost. Good times, people. Good times.

Huntington Beach's Matt Costa played a hometown show to a hometown crowd on Friday night at Detroit Bar. Costa is currently on a mini hometown tour all around Southern California. Visit MattCosta.com for more info. See the full slideshow of a sold-out crowd right here!

Icelandic bunch múm (pronounced: moom) took over the Yost Theatre in Santa Ana on Saturday night. Now, seriously, who doesn't love a good Icelandic band? Answer: No one! See the slideshow here.

Can you feel the bass reverberating from that photo!? Can you? Untz, untz, untz… Aaand Friday night at Sutra Lounge seemed to be the perfect way to unwind from a crazy work week. The Newport Beach Costa Mesa (!) Triangle Square cornerstone played host to dozens and dozens seeking refuge. See photos of the party-goers here
