Welcome to Good News OC Weekly, where it's only good news all the time. Item 1: The blood moon came and went last month without ex-MMA fighter Jason “Mayhem” Miller getting arrested in South County. Isn't that wonderful? It's true, the 34-year-old Mission Viejo resident managed to go several weeks without winding up in the local cop log, which just goes to show you that with a little … uh … BREAKING NEWS BULLETIN:

Mayhem allegedly struggled with deputies for eight minutes real, real early this morning before he was taken down with a taser device and arrested, Regular Old Un-purchased OC Weekly reports.
Orange County sheriff's deputies followed the worn-out path to Miller's residence in the 26200 block of Avenida Calidad just after 1:30 a.m. due to dispatchers receiving an anonymous report of a disturbance at the address. (Not to be confused with the slightly more minor disturbances his neighbors anonymously report to the non-good news Weekly.)
Deputies arrived to a female screaming inside the house, according to Lt. Jeff Hallock, the sheriff's spokesman, who added the lawmen then entered the side yard where “they were immediately confronted by Miller who was aggressive and yelling.”
Miller allegedly threw a ceramic tile at deputies and threatened them with a large fire extinguisher and metal pole as he retreated toward the backyard, “continually ignoring” the “numerous directives” he was receiving, Hallock said.
After struggling with the retired Ultimate Fighter for about eight minutes, deputies deployed an electronic control device–or what the hip kids call a “taser”–to take Mayhem into custody, according to Hallock (who did not add the snarky “hip kids” reference).
Miller wound up being treated and evaluated by Orange County Fire Authority paramedics before being arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer and booked into Orange County Jail on $50,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, Hallock said.
There is a potential for additional charges because Hallock says subsequent investigation determined an altercation had occurred between Miller and two females inside the house. However, “both females were interviewed and uncooperative with the investigation,” the public information officer relates.
