It's hard to believe, but New York's the Figgs have been around for more than 20 years. In this age of fickle culture, that makes them elder statesmen of rock. Remaining always a bit under the radar has allowed the band to develop their sound without the constant pressure of measuring up to the success of a radio-friendly hit single. Refining their power-pop/punk sound over the course of their career and releasing a string of solid albums, the Figgs remain one of the few bands one can unequivocally endorse without worrying about the changing tides of popular taste.
