Praise to the ooey, gooey cheese gods. On October 10, 100 Eats and Santa Ana-based Foodbeast will host Ooze Fest, their inaugural celebration of all things melted and cheesy. The festival will feature various cheese dishes from local restaurants (with current count at a dozen food vendors and a dozen beer vendors).
What should you expect? Well, in addition to the apple and cheese empanada from Shuck up there, there'll be Pollo Fundido (friend chicken chicharrones and cheese dip from Grits), a churro ice cream sandwich with cheese cake ice cream (from La Sriracha Racha), a mac and cheese and bone marrow and a bunch of other stuff Indian fry bread (from Little Sparrow), and a bunch of other things to try.
And the best part? For the price of your ticket, it's all you can drink and all you can eat and there are two sessions so it won't get super crowded.
]
Session one runs lunch time from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Session two runs dinner from 6 p.m. to 9p.m. Both sessions will take place at the parking lot at Third and Bush in Downtown Santa Ana. Tickets are $50 for standard admission and $75 for VIP. For your extra $25, you get to enter an hour early and some swag.
Want to see the beer vendors (OC favorites Bottle Logic, Four Sons, Good Beer Co, and Beach City are all participating) and buy tickets? Check out Ooze Fest's website here.
In the meantime, I'm going to start clearing out my arteries.
