In our younger years, it seemed like every little girl and “sensitive” young boy wanted to become a ballerina. Blame it on those pretty, pink-ribboned shoes, the fluffy skirts, and the men with rock-hard bods and protruding packages. Or you could blame the dancers' delicate movements that cause them to resemble feathers floating in the breeze rather than the bumbling human beings most of us are when we “dance” drunkenly in our living rooms. Only a lucky few grew up to dance professional ballet. One of the world's newest metropolitan ballet companies, the Los Angeles Ballet, is making its Orange County debut. Why not head down to the Barclay and relive that unrealized childhood dream-or just ogle the pretty tutus and call it a day?
