This month's Detroit residency is filled by pianist and songwriter Nomi Abadi, known for her work with a Santa Monica band called Wonderthings. With that group, her voice soars like Evanescences' Amy Lee and she tickles the ivories with the frenetic dexterity of Fiona Apple. Be sure to check out Youtube videos of Nomi when she was just five years old, fronting the the Orange County Chamber Orchestra. Now all grown up, with a sultry demeanor, she's sure to please the Detroit crowd with her solo act.
Mondays, 9 p.m. Starts: Feb. 6. Continues through Feb. 27, 2012
