A new Philly cheesesteak joint has opened in Costa Mesa. Called From Philly, it serves the traditional cheesesteak but also Philly cheesesteak fries, cold hoagies, and something called a “Philly Fat Boy Pizza”.

Burntzilla, which was the brick-and-mortar spin-off of The Burnt Truck and Dogzilla, has opened a second location of its Burnt Crumbs gourmet sandwich concept in Irvine at Los Olivos near Irvine Spectrum and across from Irvine Meadows. As like at its Pacific City store, crispy house pork sandwich and an 11-day house pastrami sandwich are featured.

Eat Chow has opened a new, 70-seat restaurant in Santa Ana, the largest out of Eat Chow’s previous two locations in Newport Beach and Costa Mesa. The new restaurant is also its first to offer a full bar.

Pho Go has opened in Garden Grove in the space that used to be the venerable Vien Dong. The restaurant's offerings include pho tai bo vien and pho tai nam gau, with three sizes to choose from, small, large and “panda.”
