New Lemonades at BLK dot Coffee! – all locations

Temperatures are finally on the upswing, and we’re ready for new refreshments. Cue a local, caffeinated business to read our mind. The shop best known for their VTM “Crack” coffee introduced a trio of sip-worthy lemonades this week. Try a BLK signature blend of strawberry hibiscus, blueberry mojito or lavender honey aloe to cure that thirst– no Bey or Becky references required. With a quartet of spots in Laguna and Irvine, they’re ready for you. www.blkdotcoffee.com.

Save the Date: Lobsterfest! – Newport Beach

What else does summer heat mean? Lobsterfest! The 11th annual festival of lobsters is, coincidentally, going to be held on the 11th of August. This year’s venue has changed for the better. No more sand in your shoes, because it’s now being held at Newport Civic Center’s grassy knoll. In addition, parking is also free! If you’ve been to previous Lobsterfests, you’ll know these are the best two things to happen to the event.  Always included: whole Maine lobster (flown in that morning), New York strip steak, salads, taters, corn, rolls and sweets. $65 will get you in the door with a single lobster to your name. Ballers will go VIP for unlimited seafood, booze and fancy table setups. This event will sell out, so do the charities benefiting a favor and buy your tickets at this link already.

Coming Soon: Súp Noodle Bar – Fountain Valley

When our plus one wants pho, and we crave Spam, there’s only one place to go: Súp Noodle Bar! They started in Buena Park, but expanded to Cerritos in late 2017. Well, all our pleading for a closer location must have paid off, because an employee mentioned during our recent meal that another OC location is in the works. If you’ve never experienced the deliciousness of free refills on both broth and noodles, then it’s about time you did. www.supnoodlebar.com.

Stuff We Learned from Natural Products Expo West: Reusable Bag Edition

When we explored the Anaheim Convention Center during a most excellent expo, we made an effort to expand our horizons beyond the organic, non-GMO food samples. We also made an appointment with Out of the Woods to learn about their reusable bag line. Their selection is durable, sensible and definitely more affordable than we expected. The brown bag we toted around stood up to our workaholic lifestyle. In fact, our bag somehow looks better as it gets worn. The brand launched a new line of washable, animal-free items that’ll class up even the most basic of lunches. Check them out at Office Depot for $12.99. www.outofthewoods.com.

  1. It’s nice to see new brands and food choices coming into the spectrum of food varieties. The key is keeping up with the consumers’ demands and quality control efforts are what makes customers come back. Great Food + Great Service = Great Experience, and that’s what everyone considers a WIN/WIN.

  2. CBD exceeded my expectations in every way thanks https://www.cornbreadhemp.com/blogs/learn/hemp-vs-marijuana . I’ve struggled with insomnia for years, and after infuriating CBD pro the first once upon a time, I for ever experienced a loaded night of calm sleep. It was like a bias had been lifted mad my shoulders. The calming effects were calm yet intellectual, allowing me to drift free naturally without sensibility groggy the next morning. I also noticed a reduction in my daytime angst, which was an unexpected but receive bonus. The partiality was a fraction earthy, but nothing intolerable. Overall, CBD has been a game-changer quest of my sleep and anxiety issues, and I’m grateful to keep discovered its benefits.
