Two things we covet throughout Orange County are museums with event-worthy spaces and the tendency to indulge in multiple libations. This week's list is no exception, so pack your selfie stick and queue up Uber for a fine time. We don't judge. Heck, we'll probably see you there.
Thirsty Thursday at Bowers Museum – Santa Ana
Get cultured tonight as you tour the new Virgin of Guadalupe exhibit. Happy hour specials at Tangata's Thirsty Thursday, a hands-on workshop and mariachi band will keep you entertained. Afterwards, view a tribute to Juan Gabriel during OC Film Fiesta's opening night screening. The fun begins at 5 p.m.
Pour on 4th: Beer & Wine Festival – Long Beach
The area known as Retro Row will be strutting its stuff this Saturday during their second annual festival. Join in on the four hours on 4th Street with participating restaurants Restauration, Pike Bar, Portfolio Coffeehouse and others. Proceeds from the festival will go towards solar-powered recycling receptacles along Retro Row.
Ongoing: Pumpkin Pie Smoothie at Nekter Juice Bar – throughout OC/LA
Blending through Thanksgiving, this cup of pure pumpkin puree, dates, spices and housemade cashew milk isn't intimidating and more savory than sweet. Even with the inclusion of bananas and simple agave syrup, Nekter's sips are less on the dessert side. Try it for yourself after that OrangeTheory session (or don't workout and say you did).
Coming soon: Sunday in the Vineyard on October 23 – Tustin
What's full of wine and goes' vroom vroom'? Next week's Marconi Museum fundraiser! Nibble on bites from The Winery's Chef Yvon Goetz as you tour the automobile collection. There's also the 75+ bottles of wine to sample. Do it for the children!
