Yes, Southern California, it’s true. Water is falling from the sky in a crazy phenomenon called “rain.”
Which means that stuff is getting wet and people are freaking out.
It’s best to be very careful out there. This morning, the National Weather Service put Orange County coastal areas on “flash flood watch.”
“A large pacific plume of moisture ahead of an advancing trough of low pressure is expected to bring heavy rains and the potential for serious flooding between late this afternoon through Wednesday afternoon.”
If you face a flash flood, FEMA advises that you do not drive into flooded areas and do not walk through moving water. If floodwaters rise around your car, abandon the car and move to higher ground if you can do so safely.
Also due to the forecast, Snow Summit is closed today and possibly tomorrow.
We officially have weather!
