Special Victims Detail investigators with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department arrested Craig Allen Thomas, 61, of Lake Forest, on multiple counts of felony child molestation and child pornography, according to a June 13 OCSD statement. He’s suspected of “committing multiple lewd acts on at least three underage girls beginning in 2016,” according to the statement. Thomas, who is being held on $1 million bail, previously worked as a U.S. Postal Service letter carrier in Lake Forest, has been retired for the last decade.
“Thomas was known to the three victims who were all under the age of 12 when the molestation occurred,” says the OCSD statement. “Due to Thomas having continued access and contact with children over the past three years, investigators believe there may be additional victims.”
OCSD investigators are urging the public to call (714) 647-7419 if they have any information about this case. Members of the public can also submit anonymous information through Orange County Crime Stoppers at 1-855-TIP-OCCS.
