Damn it, Eddie Vedder–you’ve done it again! This morning the lineup for the 2019 OHANA Festival created by the legendary Pearl Jam frontman and pro surfer Kelly Slater brings with it some major hoopla as he headlines the event on night 2, along with the revival of The Strokes (night 1) and funk rock giants The Red Hot Chili Peppers (night 3) at Doheny State Beach Sep. 27-29.
Other notable acts include Tash Sultana, Jenny Lewis, Incubus, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Mudhoney, Devendra Banhart, Lukas Nelson & The Promise of the Real, Glen Hansard, Laura Jane Grace & The Devouring Mothers, Fugazi offshoot The Messthetics, White Reaper, and others.
Tickets go on sale Friday, March 8th at 10:00 a.m. PST. Visit the festival’s website for more details. Ohana will donate a portion of proceeds to the San Onofre Parks Foundation, a California non-profit that cooperatively works with the California State Parks to develop, preserve and enhance the recreation and experience of California’s unique and beautiful coastal parks.
Hi,
What a great concept and awesome cause! And, I love all of these bands. However, are there any Polynesian bands playing this year? Does Ohana mean everyone except Polynesians?
Thanks in advance for responding,
Heidi Sualua
