This month's coveted Detroit Bar residency goes to Orange Blossom Special. For a venue that skews indie nine times out of 10, these guys are a breath of fresh air. Sporting a garage-rock sound reminiscent of the White Stripes mixed with some beefy Southern-rock riffage, they add in a healthy dose of country twang. Dig the tune “Better Off”–it'll singe the hair on your mullet.
