Original Long Beach Lobster Festival All Weekend

Another season, another Festivus (if it has a Wiki page, does it really exist?) for the rest of us. What is there to celebrate after Labor Day, yet before Oktoberfest? Lobster Fest!. . . at least, according to our friends in the LBC.

This weekend-long devotion to the clawed one kicks off Friday night with promises of yummy crustaceans and fun for the whole family. Heck, they've even got $2 discounts off the website if you continue reading. . .

Held at Rainbow Lagoon Park, the party will feature fresh Maine lobsters, flown in daily just for the event. The friendly folks over at Bristol Farms are providing the cooking vessels, claimed to be the “world's largest lobster steaming pots.”

For the beer-at-heart, brewski brands sponsoring lobster fest include Red Stripe, Harp, Jeremiah Weed, Smithwick's, Smirnoff Ice and Guinness. Oh yeah, and we're sponsors, too!
