Everyone knows “Hit Me With Your Best Shot,’ the tune sang by Pat Benatar that’s frequently played on the radio, at national baseball and soccer games, and shows like “Glee.” It’s popularity–which has spanned over thirty years–says something about Benatar’s imprint on female-led rock n’ roll. After all, when the New York native performed a cover of the “You Better Run” by the Young Rascals on MTV in 1981, she influenced the way audiences would listen to the genre. Performing at Pacific Amphitheatre this August, Bentar will take the crowd through decades of hits along with her husband and guitar extraordinaire, Neil Giraldo. If you’ve always wanted to belt to “All Fired Up” or “Promises in the Dark” with the singer herself, now’s your chance.
