Pizza Press, a make-it-yourself pizza shop similar to Pielogy and Blaze Pizza, is expanding from its Anaheim and Orange locations to Fullerton and, outside of Orange County, Pasadena. The Fullerton grand opening will be on Saturday, September 12 at 12 p.m. and, if you sign up for their newsletter beforehand, they'll give you a voucher for free pizza. Yee!

The 1920s/newspaper-themed pizza shop serves $8-$10 pies made from fresh dough and served on a wooden pizza peel. If you'd rather not customize your pizza, go for one of their signature dishes–for example, “The Tribune” (Italian sausage, mushrooms, roasted peppers, olives) or “The Chronicle” (artichoke hearts, mushrooms, chèvre, and roasted peppers). Now that you've noticed their dishes are named after newspaper terminology, here are some fun facts: their kids meal is called “The Jr. Editor” and you don't make your pizza, you publish it. For a pizza joint, they have a lot of dessert options, which of course you'll find under a menu section called “The Daily Scoop.” And if you're wondering, yes, their pizzas are as consistent as their theme.
The new Pizza Press location is at 2720 E Nutwood Avenue, Suite D in Fullerton. Learn more at thepizzapress.com or on Instagram @thepizzapress.
