If movies with gratuitous gun violence are called shoot-em-ups, then movies with gratuitous food shots in them have to be called 'eat-em-ups'. MADE in Long Beach provides these in spades tonight with a series of documentaries surrounding what might be the most cultural, economic, social and widely varied topic that connects us all, food. Where does our food come from? What are people doing to provide food for their community? Local youths ask these questions and more in their own short films, screened tonight alongside a screening of Food For Change, documenting food co-ops in America. Enjoy eats from local vendors as you learn more about what's on your plate.
