Another E.coli Outbreak, This Time Linked To Cookie Dough

NestlN has issued a voluntary recall on its prepackaged, refrigerated Toll House Cookie Dough, as they may be contaminated with a severe form of E.coli. If you have any at home, chuck it out.

The recall doesn't include NestlN Toll House morsels, chocolate baking
bars, cocoa or Dreyer's and Edy's ice cream with NestlN cookie
dough.

In the last three months, nearly 70 people from 28 states have become ill after
eating the dough. Of those, 25 were hospitalized and seven
developed hemolytic uremic syndrome, linked with kidney damage, chronic health problems and even death.

I won't make the obvious joke–that cookies are bad for our health. Oops, I just did.

For further advice, contact NestlN Consumer Services at (800) 559-5025 or go to the company's ironically named website, www.verybestbaking.com.
