Time magazine has revealed a list of the top ten worst fast-food meals. “Worst”, in this case, meaning the highest in calories, fat or sodium. Everything from salads to shakes, sold by everyone from Applebee's to KFC, makes the grade. Topping the bill is Outback Steakhouse's Aussie Cheese Fries, weighing in at 2,140 calories (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Obviously, as this survey proves, if you want to avoid piling on the pounds, steer clear of anything with “large”, “triple', “thick”, “supreme”, “cheese” or “chocolate” in the name.
Then again, you're not even safe with a salad: Taco Bell's Chicken Ranch Fully Loaded Taco Salad contains 960 calories, more than any other item on TB's menu.

One thing's for sure: as soon as the mandatory posting of nutritional information comes into force, I'll be studying the numbers closely. I might not like what I see, and it may mean I order something different from what I'd been planning to, but if I get fat I'll only have myself to blame… On the other hand, there's the risk that I'll get so used to seeing diabolic numbers, my eyes will glaze over and I'll think “what the hell?” and have it anyway. Either way, it'll end in tears.
