If you haven't figured it out by now, I like a tasty salad. The more good stuff, the better. But it can't be that Iceberg crap; there's so much quality produce to choose from. And when I learned PIE-NOT's newest location at Pacific City's Lot 579 would carry salads, it was time for a return visit.
Famous for their handheld savory meals, the addition of beer, wine and greens meant I could have a decently balanced meal anytime. That's even sweeter than the butter lettuce base of my sunflower salad. I should warn you that this is a fairly simple dish, but even the simplest of recipes can come together when they're made fresh. Carrot shavings and roasted sunflower seeds crunch things up. But my favorite components are the inclusion of a sprout trio: broccoli, sunflower and onion ones!
