Arraignment is scheduled today for a 41-year-old reputed gang member accused in the shooting death of a man in a Garden Grove parking lot in July.
Richard Adrian Trevino had fled to Mexico after the shooting that was just before noon on July 18, but investigators tracked him to Tecate, arranged for local police to pick him up and brought him back to Orange County to face the music, according to Garden Grove Police Lt. Bob Bogue.
Arrested after questioning and booked into Orange County Jail on $1 million bail, Trevino was charged July 25 with murder with a sentencing enhancement allegation for the use of a gun causing death.
It is believed he got into an argument with Frank Brady in the parking lot of a shopping strip mall at 13478 Harbor Blvd. before the shooting.
Brady, who was shot multiple times in the chest and described at the time as being in his 30s, was later pronounced dead at UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange.
There is a co-defendant in the case: Erica Amanda Stone is also charged with murder.
